Contemporary & Traditional Staircases

Traditional Staircases

Traditional Staircases

The company offers a wide variety of traditional staircase configurations including: traditional closed and cut string, open rise, spiral and helical staircases. The product range varies with many standard designs and patterns to choose from, although Woodside Joinery can also accommodate any chosen design to suit your application and needs. These staircases can be constructed in a variety of quality kiln dried Hardwoods such as Mahogany, Ash, Iroko, Oak, Walnut and any other suitable species for staircase production.

Woodside manufacture a comprehensive range of turned, twisted or fluted balusters and newel posts in-house to several patterns. In addition to our own range, we also endeavour to match any existing pattern if required.

Contemporary Staircases

Contemporary Staircases

The Woodside Contemporary range of staircases comprises of stainless steel newel posts and balusters, as well as spiral staircases to add the contemporary feel to your home, as well as incorporating all of the latest materials and manufacturing techniques at hand. A custom built contemporary staircase is only limited by the designer's imagination, making use of a wide variety of materials to produce what are often strikingly original forms.

Contemporary staircase design challenges the designer and stair builder on different levels altogether and takes commitment from both parties. Contemporary or modern stair design lets the mind run free, or at least it should. These designs can be gloriously simple using clean lines and unusual materials. They can also be curved, straight or just about anything you want! Glass, stainless steel and, of course, timber can all be combined within the more contemporary staircase, to bring together and compliment other materials or features of the home.

Every staircase, traditional and contemporary, is manufactured to order and truly bespoke and of the highest quality. Customers can pick their favourite design and alter it to their taste by choosing a material that will blend in with their design idea for the rest of their property. After fitting, the staircase can then be finished as required, either french-polished for hardwoods or painted for softwoods.
